First Baptist Church in Haddonfield is hosting a Soup Luncheon on Friday, Feb. 3, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The menu includes vegetable beef soup prepared by the ladies of the church, rolls and butter, beverages and homemade desserts. Tickets at the door are $10 for adults; children under 12 are admitted free. Proceeds benefit the ministries of the church. Parking and Social Hall entrance are at rear of church. Delanco Camp will be holding its Annual Dinner on Saturday, March 31, from 6:30 to 10 p.m. at Villa Manor in Winslow. Admission is $40 per person ($16 of which will be considered tax deductible). Tickets are first come, first serve.

There will be dinner, fellowship, a program and a silent auction.

This is kind of last minute, but If you are a visual artists and a Christian and free this Saturday, March 26th, join us! We are having our first meeting to plan and prepare for our next artshow/coffeehouse! If you can’t make the meeting, but are interested in participating in future art shows, please contact us and we will keep you posted.

We really value your input, without you we cannot make this happen! Please be prepared to give a brief introduction of yourself and a few samples of your artwork for the benefit of the group. Please feel free to comment or suggest any ideas about a theme, other concerns or suggestions you might have. Last year went really well and I think this could really shape up to be something great! We have the a room reserved for a while, but I am assuming we probably won’t be more than an hour or two at the most.

“Recently with our church The Sanctuary, we launched a very successful Art show/Coffee house with live music entitled Caught Unawares. We had a lot of positive feedback and numerous attendees asked when this was all going to happen again. While we haven’t quite determined when another will take place, we have decided to begin to construct a sturdy foundation of artists for future events. We are hoping to build a cooperative of artists to help plan, submit work and to be involved with us throughout the process. We would really like to showcase a strong portfolio of work from each artist, not just one or two artworks. The last event was not overtly Christian although some future events may be. If you are serious about your interest, we hope that you would consider contacting us via email so we can involve you in the next event.

I personally can tell you from our last art show I received a commission and several inquiries about purchasing my original artwork and or prints of them. I know at least one other artist received similar responses.”
